SRMC Fuels Futures: $5,000 Donation Boosts GED Success at Augusta Technical College

AIKEN, S.C. (June 18, 2026) — A brighter future starts with opportunity, and Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is helping dreams take flight with a $5,000 donation to Augusta Technical College for its Adult Education General Educational Development Program.

The donation will help students cover the cost of their General Educational Development (GED) test, an essential step for earning a high school equivalency diploma. This computer-based exam helps individuals advance their education and better position themselves for career opportunities. Augusta Tech provides the GED test in both in-person and online formats, ensuring accessibility for all.
Savannah River Mission Completion President and Program Manager Dr. Thomas Burns, Jr. emphasized the importance of this partnership in addressing workforce challenges.
